Pakistan cricketer Shadab Khan etched multiple world records to his name as he scored the maiden ODI century of his career to help the Shaheen Afridi-led side defeat England on Sunday (October 25) at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore to register an unlikely victory from the cusp of defeat to ensure the hosts sealed their place in the final of the ongoing tri-series, which also involves Sri Lanka.

Walking out to bat at number eight, Shadab made an unbeaten knock of 113 in 96 balls as Pakistan registered a one-wicket win. The win came despite the hosts being 154-9 at one stage while chasing 242. He put up a world-record partnership (the highest 10th-wicket partnership in a successful run chase) of 89 runs with Haris Rauf (7 of 19).
