FASTag Annual Passes Issued Recording 63 Crore Transactions As Of June: Govt

As of June, 2026, more than 77 lakh Annual Passes have been issued registering 63 crore transactions on National Highway Fee Plazas, MoRTH said.

FASTags Annual Pass

Centre has issued over 77 lakh FASTag Annual Passes registering 63 crore transactions as of June 2026, Centre said.

In a written reply in Rajya Sabha on an unstarred question, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari said, “As of June, 2026, more than 77 lakh Annual Passes have been issued registering 63 crore transactions on National Highway Fee Plazas, indicating a positive response from road users. Presently, around 33% of total Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) transactions done by car/jeep/van are Annual Pass Transactions.”

The FASTag Annual Pass fee has been revised to Rs 3,075 with effect from April 1, based on the combined impact of the change in the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) and the prescribed fixed annual increase, Centre said.

Accordingly, the fee for the FASTag Annual Pass has been revised in accordance with the extant provisions of the National Highways Fee Rules, 2008. Under these provisions, the user fee rates on National Highways, including the FASTag Annual Pass fee, are revised annually with effect from 1st April, based on the combined impact of the change in the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) and the prescribed fixed annual increase.

The FASTag Annual Pass fee has been revised from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075 for the Financial Year 2026-27, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari said in an unstarred question in Rajya Sabha.

The FASTag Annual Pass came into effect from 15th August, 2025, following which its adoption has grown steadily.
