Disney’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event was held on August 14 in Anaheim. At this event, Marvel Studios unveiled a special-look trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled for a big-screen release on December 18. It gave audiences a sneak peek at Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom’s backstory. Hugh Jackman’s special video was also screened at the event. In the clip, the actor, who plays Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared a message for Kevin Feige. Addressing the Marvel Studios President, the actor expressed his wish to be a part of Avengers: Doomsday.

After Hugh’s clip was screened at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool in the MCU, shared the same video on social media. The video features Hugh’s message for Kevin: “I just wanted to check in totally unprompted, just wondering if you might need some help rounding out the cast?” The actor further told the Marvel Studios president that he would love to join Avengers: Doomsday, and that he might be able to convince Ryan to appear in the film as well.

Sharing this video on his Instagram handle, Ryan wrote, “If this feels like a hostage video, it’s because it’s a hostage video. thehughjackman D23.” This clip left fans excited as Hugh teased a possibility of Deadpool and Wolverine being a part of Avengers: Doomsday. However, it is to be noted that the makers are yet to make an official announcement about the same.

The upcoming Avengers film has been directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo. Produced by Kevin Feige, the movie’s star-studded cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, and more.

Meanwhile, Avengers: Doomsday is set for a big box office clash with Dune 3. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the movie features Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, and others in key roles. Robert Pattinson is an integral part of this movie as well.
