Bruce Willis recently made a rare public appearance at his daughter Tallulah Willis’ wedding, offering a glimpse of the actor as he continues to live with frontotemporal dementia. The 71-year-old Die Hard star has been away from the public eye since retiring from acting and was diagnosed with the condition in 2023. However, he was present as Tallulah, his youngest daughter with former wife Demi Moore, married musician Justin Acee at the family’s home in Idaho. Photos from the intimate celebration show Bruce alongside his daughter and son-in-law, marking a rare family moment for the Hollywood star.

Photos shared by Vogue on August 14 showed the actor dressed in a short-sleeved linen shirt and straw hat, keeping his look casual for the outdoor celebration. Tallulah, 32, married Acee in an intimate backyard ceremony. She wore a custom Balenciaga silk satin gown featuring a draped train and bow bustle designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, paired with an elegant floor-length veil.

Rather than having a traditional walk down the aisle, Tallulah was led from her mother’s bedroom, where she had prepared for the ceremony, to a bridge on the property by stylist Brad Goreski. She then walked alone to meet Acee before exchanging vows.

Tallulah had announced her engagement to Acee in December 2024 through an Instagram post featuring pictures of the couple and the caption, ‘Everyday.’ Speaking to Vogue about their relationship, she said, “We made a decision at the very beginning of our relationship that we were going to choose each other every day.”

Willis retired from acting in March 2022 after initially being diagnosed with aphasia. His family confirmed in February 2023 that his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia, which affects areas of the brain associated with personality, behaviour and language. The actor shares three daughters with Demi Moore, Rumer, 37, Scout, 35, and Tallulah, 32. He has been married to Emma Heming Willis since 2009, and they share two daughters, Mabel, 14, and Evelyn, 12.

Emma Heming Willis has become a caregiver for Bruce as he continues to deal with his condition. In a January 2026 podcast appearance, she spoke about his awareness of his diagnosis, saying she was grateful that he had not connected the dots about having being diagnosed with dementia.
