The Pataudi prince may have turned 56 today but his personal style is both timeless and vibrantly contemporary.

Actor and very famously, the ‘quad-father’, Saif Ali Khan turns 56 today. Now Saif does have quite a few hard-hitting projects to his name but one can rather staunchly argue – it’s his eloquent mind and dapper aura that have people still as invested in him as they were decades back, when he started his career. The Leo man with his royal lineage leans into both these inspiration reservoirs when it comes to how he dresses. Boys – take some cue from the man.
Formals are Fashionable
Dressing up dapper in a suit is Saif Ali Khan’s love language to himself. Three pieces in deep hues and pastels, the waist coat either being a perfect match for the pocket square or in a shade profile that stands out yet soothes the eye, collared button downs tucked away letting the chest breath slightly bare as it sits cloaked beneath a blazer or his ultimate go-to – a slightly oversized yet perfectly tailored formal shirt paired and tucked inside a deliciously well-tailored pair of trousers – this is pretty much the limited template of the birthday boy’s formals wardrobe, though with his personal touch, he manages to throw open the gates to a rabbit hole of women dreaming that their men would one, develop the casually effortless – not to mention spotless – taste that he has. It’s easy to say a man can never go wrong with formals – but let’s be real, they very much can! After all, how many times have you seen a man you know pair his baby blue work shirt under a pitch black coat with pants- also the ‘same’ black, but only in theory? Not Saif though. Never Saif.

Colours and Prints Make a Happy Guest Appearance Guest Appearance
Formals doesn’t have to mean boring, though sometimes that when done well, can make for scrumptious sight. Saif loves his kerchiefs as he does his ties. A recent sit-down chat saw him donning a pair of shaded sunnies – another styling footnote for the boys by the way – paired with a short pony, a crispy white shirt and a nearly-teal polka-dotted tie, except this piece de resistance was tied not under the collar, but right on his neck.
No notes on this one, none. And as far dressing ethnic goes, the Pataudi scion has never once shied away from going all out. It’s kind of his thing you see – looking good in absolutely anything he pulls out of his closet, because let’s be real – the daddy cool-coded swag is undeniable and that in itself does half the work. If you’re in doubt, we’d like to draw your attention back to the disastrous Go Goa Gone platinum blonde slick back – only Saif and Saif alone could have made that absolute trainwreck look passable; so, credit where it’s due.

There’s Nothing Chicer than Lounging in Kurta Pajamas
And rarely ever without a book within reach. There’s literally nothing performative about this only because the man’s being doing it long before being a ‘performative male’ or looking out for one was an active pass time for the people of the internet. Every time Saif’s spotted in a kurta at home, it’s between pristine white to cream and taupe. The pajamas flow just right and the kurta hugs his chest but not the torso. He’s always neatly turned out with his hair combed back and not a hair on his beard out of place – and oh, is there anything more attractive than a man who actually reads?
Another year around the sun, another year younger!
