Larsen & Toubro has announced a significant order valued at over Rs 15,000 crore for developing multiple offshore facilities in the Middle East. The company’s energy hydrocarbon offshore unit has secured this massive project.

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore has bagged an ultramega order from a prestigious client in the Middle East. The project involves the development of multiple offshore facilities. LTEH Offshore will execute the project scope encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of offshore facilities. A significant portion of the fabrication activities will be carried out at L&T’s integrated, world-class manufacturing and fabrication facilities.

T Madhava Das, Whole-time Director, Senior Executive Vice President & Head – Energy Hydrocarbon Division, Larsen & Toubro, said, “the order represents one of the most significant offshore developments currently underway in the Middle East and underscores the growing investments being made to meet future energy demand. The scale and complexity of the project call for deep engineering expertise, integrated project execution capabilities and flawless coordination across multiple workstreams. We are proud to contribute to the development of critical energy infrastructure that will support the region’s long-term growth ambitions.”

Parthasarathi Chatterjee, Senior Vice President & Head – L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore, said, “with multiple offshore facilities, subsea infrastructure and substantial fabrication requirements, this project exemplifies the scale and complexity of offshore developments that LTEH Offshore is uniquely positioned to deliver. Our integrated EPCIC approach, supported by world-class engineering, fabrication and marine capabilities, enables us to execute such projects

with certainty, efficiency and a strong focus on safety and quality.”

Experts believe the big positive from this is not just the Rs 15,000 cr order but the revenue visibility it offers L&T’s Energy Hydrocarbon business amid sustained Middle East capex. However, while the order strengthens L&T’s offshore positioning investors will continue to monitor execution, project margins, cash flows and working-capital requirements as work progresses.
