Natalie Harp’s Letter To Trump Comes Under Spotlight Once Again: ‘With All My Heart….’
President Donald Trump’s close aide Natalie Harp once wrote him a deeply personal letter in which she said she wanted “things to always be right between us” and described how she had been “forgetting to eat” and “even forgetting to sleep,” according to a report by The New York Times.
Harp, 35, is a special assistant to the president and executive assistant to the president. She has become one of the most visible aides around Trump despite rarely speaking publicly. She reportedly stays up late with Trump drafting social media posts, texts world leaders on his behalf and carries a portable printer to provide him with information, earning her the nickname “the human printer.”
The letter, viewed by The Times, reportedly came after a trip to Scotland, where videos showed Harp sprinting across a golf course to keep up with Trump’s golf cart.
“I also am sorry if I was an embarrassment walking the course in Scotland,” Harp wrote, according to the report. “I want things to always be right between us.”
She added: “I also know I’ve been distracted all week (forgetting to eat throughout the days, and even forgetting to sleep, and only catching a couple hours at a time).”
The letter ended with the words: “With all my heart, Natalie.”
Harp’s Extraordinary Proximity To Trump
The letter has drawn renewed attention to Harp’s unusually close relationship with the president. According to the reports, some of her colleagues have been unnerved by her level of devotion, while White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt described her as “one of the most loyal and hardest-working aides on President Trump’s team.”
Harp’s profile grew further after it emerged that she was among the staffers who accompanied Trump during his secret evacuation from Turkey amid security threats from Iran.
Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff subsequently criticized Trump over Harp’s presence during the evacuation, prompting a fierce response from Trump allies.
Harp has credited Trump with helping save her life after she was diagnosed with bone cancer. She said legislation signed by Trump in 2018 gave her access to experimental treatments.
She joined Trump’s team in 2022 after previously working as an anchor at One America News Network.
