Shattering another record, it has become Emraan Hashmi’s first solo Rs 100 crore film. Now, it is steadily marching towards the Rs 150 crore mark.

On Day 5, Awarapan 2 minted Rs 9.75 crore. Despite witnessing a weekday dip on Monday, the film managed to remain steady at the box office. With this, its India collection surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark. It had earlier crossed the milestone at the global box office.

Now, Awarapan 2 is eyeing the Rs 150 crore mark at the box office.

The film had a bumper opening at the box office, shattering multiple records. It surpassed Saiyaara to become the highest romantic opener of the year. Not just that, Monday also witnessed a strong collection, with Awarapan 2 emerging as the fourth-highest first Monday grosser of 2026, after Border 2, Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Now, it will be interesting to see how the sequel fares in the coming days. However, it has already positioned itself among the top-performing films of the year.

Also starring Disha Patani in the lead, Awarapan 2 is the sequel to Emraan Hashmi and Shriya Saran’s 2007 cult classic Awarapan. The film marks the return of the iconic character Shivam Pandit and is directed by Nitin Kakkar.

Amid the film’s dream run at the box office, Emraan told a portal that the overwhelming love from audiences for him and Awarapan 2 has been truly heartening. He added that returning with strong content was essential and expressed gratitude to everyone involved for ensuring the film reached the right audience and became a major success.
